This is my first go at image, motion and sound all rolled into one production, and I have to say i am so very pleased with the outcome. So this short 13 second animation is mine and Anya’s jokey production company animation that proceed every trailer, not just in HKC but all movie trailers. So to make it feel like an authentic trailer we needed to have one at the start. HKC production companies often have ludicrously long names that include far to many titles which I assume to to try and give them some prestige. That being the case we decided to mimic this and also have it translated into chinese. The grainy, jumpy feel to it was added after the initial drawing of the frames was completed to try and give it a 1970’s/80’s authentic feel which I think really completes the whole show. The idea was to add a little tiny bit of animation that gives a hint or nod towards our preferred genre and then go into some kind of computer generated 1980’s hi tech secondary phase which makes it feel all posh and jazzy ..for the time. The music is actually taken from an current HKC production company as I was low on time, for this instance it works well but I would need to create something myself if it was ever to be published. Overall thumbs up, it makes me very excited about the final animation now.
